Chetana Bhat, Founder of Personal, Professional, Relationship Development (PPRD), describes her career and life as a process of continued learning, growth, and transformation. She believes in the importance of connectedness and relationships whether it is within oneself or with the world around us. So, she decided to name her organization to reflect the above, Personal, Professional, Relationship Development (PPRD).
Chetana moved from India to US more than 40 years ago. Though originally having aspirations of being a scientist, she had to change her course of life and education due to the twists and turns of life and graduated with a B.S. in Business administration from University of Maryland and M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins. Chetana has worked in the health and wellness field for many years as a licensed counselor in Maryland. She is certified in EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 (emotional intelligence) and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. As someone with interest in communication and change management, Chetana further trained in CliftonStrengths coaching, verbal intervention, mediation, conflict resolution, marriage counseling, and divorce coaching. Over the years she has served as a mediator, collaborative divorce coach, couples’ counselor, speaker, trainer, and workshop presenter. She also taught an Interpersonal Communication course at a nearby college and is a verbal intervention trainer. As a communication coach, Chetana works closely with clients to help them see their communication gaps and communicate their ideas across clearly.
Having been an entrepreneur and having grown up watching parents that were leaders in the community, Chetana is passionate about working with entrepreneurs, business owners, and aspiring leaders. Some of her work involves facilitating peer groups for entrepreneurs and business owners.
Chetana has extensive experience in providing workshops on numerous topics including change management, employee relations, personal and professional wellbeing, and effective communication. As an executive coach, she acts as a thought partner and sounding board for executives, managers, and aspiring leaders to help them improve their executive presence, communicate clearly and effectively, recognize both strengths and areas for improvement, and transition into new leadership roles.
Chetana founded a real estate company and for many years, she bought, maintained, and sold properties in her portfolio. Previous to the above she was instrumental in starting and successfully managing two healthcare businesses.
Chetana is an avid nature walker and enjoys writing and painting.
